Private Houses - The Meadows, Wood Green |
This delightful house situated on the edges of Wood Green village, the New Forest National Park and the flood plain of the River Avon, started life as a small semi-detached cottage, and had been extended to the limit permitted by New Forest Planning Policies prior to our Clients purchasing it. Our Clients had upgraded the first floor rooms and the Lounge and Dining room, but wanted to improve the ground floor by rationalising and modernising the kitchen and removing a poorly built conservatory. The North facing Dining Room looks on to the street and part of the brief was to connect it to the new kitchen and give it a southerly outlook over the garden. The scheme created a new Garden Room in place of the old conservatory, of the same floor area but wider and less deep to allow a connection through to the Kitchen. New patio doors link the kitchen to the garden, and a new extensive deck was built accessed from both the Kitchen and the Garden Room, which is provided with sliding/folding glazed doors across its full width. |
